Baldrige Assessment
Through a Baldrige-based
diagnostic assessment, you learn how your organization compares to
world-class organizations and where you need to focus your improvement
resources for highest impact.
A key value of a
Baldrige-based assessment is that in just a few days, you can get a
definitive score that shows you where you stand relative to 100's of other
organizations - including world-class performers. You also receive a
detailed, actionable report to help your organization get improvement
procedures and management measures underway immediately. A Baldrige-based
assessment (based on the Baldrige Award Criteria for Performance
Excellence), conducted by an experienced professional, means that you
get payoff from improvements this year (or this quarter) not
"some time in the future."
Shaw provides
comprehensive, cost-effective organizational assessment using the Malcolm
Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence. Jim
Shaw is a former Baldrige Award Senior Examiner and he can help you take
the Baldrige Challenge - even if you just want to improve your business
without going for the award.
Each year less than a
hundred organizations go through the rigorous process of applying for the
Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. But a much larger number of
organizations apply for one of the state quality awards based on the
Baldrige
criteria. However another even larger group obtain the updated criteria
each year and use it as the basis of an internal “Baldrige-based
Assessment” of all or part of their organization.
To this larger group
Shaw offers assistance in application of the Baldrige criteria to your
organization. (Note: As an examiner, Mr. Shaw participated in the Baldrige
Healthcare Pilot). Using Jim's skill will help you save time by speeding
up both your understanding of the criteria and completion of the Baldrige
Assessment - so you can start working on improvements sooner. You can
direct the Baldrige Assessment at just one part of your organization, or
complete a comprehensive assessment of your entire organization. Either
way, you will be using the organizational performance diagnostic tool
considered to be the Gold Standard worldwide.
